Kick Off Classic 2017 – Tier 2
(Central - Great Lakes Qualifier) (Atlantic Coast Championship – Qualifier #1)
Hosted by Sheridan Shore Sailing School
Date: Saturday September 9 – Sunday September 10
Location: Sheridan Shore Sailing School and Wilmette Harbor Association

Class (BYOB): Laser (Full and Radial) 420 (SSSS has limited boats for use)
Rules: The regatta will be governed by the 2017-2020 ISAF RRS, the prescriptions of the US Sailing Association, the ISSA PR’s, this NOR, MISSA By-Laws and District Rules, and the SI’s.
Registration and Entry: DO NOT REGSITER YOUR 420 TEAM UNITL YOU HAVE PERMISION FROM THE EVENT CHAIR. All MISSA teams are welcome……

Entries must be received by Tuesday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m CST. Regatta will most likely be FULL by Saturday Sept ember 2nd. Each Team must register online at the regatta page.
Entry fee is $150 per 420 Team. $25 per Laser Sailor. ....NO FOOD....
The top 5 420 teams from the Central League will earn a berth at the Great Lakes Championship. The Great Lakes Championship will take place on November 4 and 5 and will be hosted by Chicago Yacht Club, Monroe Station.
This regatta is also Qualifier #1 for the ACC hosted by TBA on November 11 and 12. The top 420 team will earn a berth to the ACC.
High schools may have more than one 420 team participate in the Kick-Off Classic if spots are available. Each Central League high school must designate in advance to the regatta chair which team (one per high school) will be attempting to qualify for the Great Lakes Championship and the ACC.
The teams that earn Qualifying Spots have till Tuesday September 12th at noon CST to declare their intent to compete to this Regatta Chair, their Area Rep, MISSA VP and MISSA President.
8:30 a.m. - Registration and boat set up
9:10 a.m. - Competitors meeting
9:25 a.m. – Harbor Launch 420’s 1st
10:00 a.m. - 1st 420 warning signal
No races will be started after 5:00 p.m.
8:00 a.m. - Boat set-up
8:45 a.m. – Harbor Launch 420’s
9:30 a.m. - 1st 420 warning signal
No races will be started after 1:30 p.m.
